The Esquire was Fender's first electric solid body guitar, made available to the public in 1950. Shortly after, it was renamed the Broadcaster, and then eventually became the Telecaster.
70 years later, the fine folks at Fender teamed up with country superstar Brad Paisley to create this beautiful signature model outfitted with all the tone and playability you expect from a classic Fender Esquire, but complimented with fresh modern appointments.
Such appointments include:
-Paulownia core with spruce top and back; Road Worn Black Sparkle lacquer finish.
-Super lightweight at only 5.84lbs!
-Two single-coil pickups; custom-wound '64 Tele® bridge pickup and Seymour Duncan Brad Paisley Signature Secret Agent neck pickup. (it's called the secret agent because it's hidden under the pickguard. Yes, this Esquire does have a neck pickup!)
-Custom Enhanced “V"-shaped neck; 9.5"-radius maple fingerboard.
-Road Worn vintage-style hardware, including 3-saddle string-through Tele bridge with compensated brass barrel saddles
This guitar is ready for stage or studio after being thoroughly looked over and given a fresh setup by one of our badass techs here at EMS. It'll ship safely and securely in a Fender gig bag. Buy with confidence!
