My god, man, it doesn't get any more classic than this. The Fender Deluxe is one of the most recorded amps in history; plugging into this classic Blackface gives you a quick explanation why.
The tone from this Deluxe is exactly what you'd expect. Brilliant Fender clean up until about 5 or 6 on the Volume control and then it gets into some classic overdrive. This amp fuckin' rips! This is the sound! The chassis stamped serial number is A-04521 and indicates that this beaut came into being in nineteen hundred and sixty-five!
The Vibrato on these classic amps have been emulated by other amp builders and pedal builders alike. That's because it's friggin' perfect. And this particular unit is no different.
A little history on this particular DR for those of you who enjoy this kind of stuff, as we do! This SF beauty it's mostly original though it has had a few caps replaced (which you'd expect for a 59 year old amp) but still has the OG transformers. Additionally the original 12" speaker has been replaced with an Eminence cone.
The techs have also gone through and made sure everything is tight, tidy, and running like it ought to so that it's completely ready for stage or studio and in excellent working condition.
