Holy Crap.

We've seen all kinds of 60's Fenders, I'd be lying if I didn't say this one was my favorite. 1964 was a good year for Fender, and they sure didn't mess this one up.

Yes, it plays and feels phenomenal, but the finish and overall aesthetic is really something special. The Olympic White has aged into a beautiful buttercream, almost champagne sparkle-esque gold, really makes the white of the plastics pop. The clay dot markers on the rosewood share a hue of the tortoise shell pickguard that really makes this Jazzyboi look nice.

This is a fantastic player-grade piece that is original everywhere that it counts, and has received replacements only in areas that would improve playability and extend its life. It has been expertly refretted and outfitted with a new bone nut, giving it a whole new lease on life and adding many future decades to its already illustrious career. The original pickguard had begun to shrink and warp over the years, as they are known to do, so it was replaced with an Avant Guard tortoise shell guard. But fret not, collectors! The original guard is also included in the case with it (see pics). Two pickup leads, one wire from the 3-way, and the foam underneath the pickups have also been replaced with comparable vintage spec cloth wire.

The pickups are glassy and the neck is smooth. Those pickups have output readings of 7.36k in the neck and 8.51k in the bridge. The neck has a thickness measuring 0.800" at the 1st fret and 0.950" at the 12th, a 7.25" radius fretboard, and a nut width of 1 5/8". The guitar practically plays itself. It does not include the original case, but there will be a hardshell case provided.

It should go without saying that there is some obvious wear, as the guitar is almost 60 years old. Please do not purchase this if you are a "hang it on the wall" collector. It's not a closet classic. This guitar has been played and longs to continue to do so. Our in-house luthiers have given it a fresh setup and we can confidently say that it plays better now than it ever has.

What a guitar. We will ship promptly, fully insured, safe and secure upon payment.
