Feast your eyes. You know you been looking for one. You know you need one. A signature guitar for one of the most uniquely badass modern guitarists: this is the Fender Troy Van Leeuwen Jazzmaster...in the Copper Age finish. My, my, my.
Troy spec’d this Jazzmaster out with a bound maple fretboard, black block inlays and a matching headstock, equipped with two Pure Vintage ’65 Jazzmaster pickups, and vintage-style 7.25” radius with vintage-style frets. Built from an alder body, C profile neck (.875"-.945"), it plays like a dream and feels great in the hands. The hardware on this sleek axe includes a Jazzmaster bridge with nickel-plated brass Mustang saddles and a vintage style "floating" tremolo tailpiece. Attached to the tailpiece, the Buzz Stop Roller helps reduce buzz and rattle and increases sustain! The nut measures in at 1.785", and the whole guitar weighs in at a fair 8.68lbs.
The pair of stock Vintage '65 pickups have plenty of punch and bite and a surprising range of tones (6.67k neck, 6.61k bridge). You'll find an impressive palette of sounds when you start pairing them up (via the 3-way selector) and giving the Tone and Volume controls a spin. A chrome 2-way toggle on the upper bout gives you access to the guitar's rhythm circuit, bringing the roller pots into play to access that circuit's tone and volume.
The top shelf luthiers here at EMS have given this guitar a full setup. It'll play the best it's ever played and better than the day it rolled off the line! It is ready for stage or studio. No tweaks required.
We'll ship this baby safely and swiftly in its original hardshell case!
