I know you already know. The moment you stopped scrolling, you knew. But indulge me: here we have the mighty Les Paul Custom from the year of our Lord, nineteen & seventy-nine.
Now you're probably thinking, doesn't this listing say "alpine white"? It sure does. That, my friends, is the beauty of genuine age. Try though they might, even the Murphy Lab can't truly recreate what gigging in smoky bars for 40 years does to an instrument.
This guitar was crafted with 2-piece pancake mahogany body, 3-piece maple top, along with a 3pc maple neck with 12" radius ebony fretboard (mmmmm...ebony). This thing plays as good as she looks. It has a C-profile neck (1st: .805, 12th: 1.00) and a nut width of 1.680".
Under the hood, you've got those original Gibson T-Top Humbuckers and they sound sweeeeet. They've got output ratings of 7.30k in the neck and 7.57k in the bridge. This lovely lady weighs in at 10.22 lbs (nobody said rock n' roll was easy).
It shows all the best signs of love and use but she's not done yet. Somebody rode this workhorse HARD, and gave it lots of love, but she's still got plenty of love left to give in return! Check out all those photos. The checking, the yellowing of the finish, the wear on the back of the neck, the dings... this was someone's favorite guitar for sure. And it might be yours next.
Like all guitars here at EMS, this guitar has undergone the ultimate spa treatment thanks to our in-house expert luthiers. They've given this baby a full fret level, a fresh setup, and ensured that it will play better than ever before when you pick it up.
We'll ship it lightning fast to your door, packed with love and care safely in its original hardshell case.
Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about it!
