This sick 60's Valco-made amp is Gretsch's version of the legendary Supro Thunderbolt widely known for its association with early Led Zeppelin recordings. The Pro Bass features the same transformers, 1x15 speaker arrangement, and cathode-biased 6L6 output stage.
At 35watts, this thing has plenty of output power, but when cranked it starts to break up, achieving that perfect old school Jimmy Page tone we all love. Loaded with the original 15" speaker, these were originally marketed towards bassists, as the name implies, but quickly became a favorite of guitarists.
