If you were to climb "rock n' roll Everest" to the pinnacle of tone and badassery, you'll find Komet amps sitting up there wondering what took you so long.
The KF50 Limited brings you a world class circuit designed by Ken Fischer and as a tribute to Ken's very own legendary Trainwreck. This was a 30 piece production run. They even paid homage with the cabinet being handcrafted from exotic African Bubinga, with a contrasting flame maple V front.
The Limited is filled to the brim with EL34 tone that is rich with complex harmonics, creamy rhythms, and leads that cut in the most perfect way. The bass response likewise stays strong and tight. Overall this head has more gain on tap that Ken Fischer's legacy designs and uses a solid state rectifier.
Traditional Trainwreck principles are followed in the design and construction. The Limited is a single channel amp and does not have reverb, master volume, effects loop, foot switches, pull pots, transistors, chips or anything else that may degrade tone, harmonic complexity or touch sensitivity. Like all Komet amplifiers the chassis is solid 1/8” welded aircraft grade aluminum and only the finest components are used.
Across the front panel are controls for Volume, Treble, Mid, Bass along with Presence and a Hi-Cut rounding out the tone shaping capabilities. Along the back you've got bias test points and a handy impedance selector to match it up with the cab of your choice.
These amps are super rare and super top shelf! This one has been kept incredibly clean and babied. It is used but near mint condition. We were stunned at the tone and articulation found in this head. It's more than just a pretty face, more than just a collectible, it is a true tone machine.
