Rad guitar alert! Part of the short-lived F-series, the F-65 was part of Martin's effort to expand into the electric guitar market in the early '60s. This guitar was manufactured and sold in small numbers from 1963 to 1965. This guitar features a headstock and neck design identical to Martin's acoustics (with the Brazilian board!)
The guitar has an incredible sound and feel, I mean it's a '60s Martin, would you expect anything else? Loaded with DeArmond pickups, 2 volume and 2 tone knobs, piano like chime with full body low end resonates from this fully hollow rarity. This guitar is 100% original from the electronics down to the plexi saddle and the "M" tailpiece.
This sweet bird is in splendid condition and just got a full setup here at the shop! light weight and plenty of fret life left, were all smitten with her. There is of course some play wear and small dings, as this guitar just had it's 60th birthday, so take a close peek at the photos if you are a picky buyer.
