Textures from MXR is a compact granular synth engine that gives you a multitude of granular effects from shimmering pads to glitchy rhythms and everything in between. Using the three available modes, you can easily create a world of sonic bliss—Delay gives you a granular rhythmic device, Auto-Freeze will automatically grab bits of your signal, and the Layers mode lets you stack your grains to create dynamic pads. Use the Time, Size, and Overlap controls to fine-tune the shape and behavior of your grains while Regen and Pitch work to create feedback and tonal variations. The Mix control lets you neatly balance everything to create the ideal level of lusciousness. In and Out are stereo or mono and an expression jack lets you add dynamism to your performance without having to do the ol' bend-and-twiddle. Built-in effects for reverb, filter, vibrato, and a reverse control rounds out the offerings. The MXR Textures pedal is a straight-forward and easy way to integrate granular concepts into your pedalboard.
