This unique two-stage transistor circuit was born from experimenting with cascading circuits like the 1797 Boost. This amazingly versatile device covers all ground, from a clean boost with a touch of grit to a total onslaught of gain. Its tones are very reminiscent of an overdriven Tweed amp. It's very responsive to the volume of your guitar. When combined with the pedal controls, your possibilities are endless. This pedal features Drive and Volume but also switchable clipping: Silicon, Germanium, or none. The switchable bias controls the bias of the second stage. In clipped positions, it's subtle and alters the feel of the overdrive. In the no-clip mode, it allows low-drive settings to remain smooth.
