HÖLY MOTÖRHEAD!!
This 4001 is a stone cold stunner. The hailed 4001 is responsible for so many classic tunes and tones. Articulate yet able to thump, Rick basses prove to be versatile in any situation.
Just shy of it's 50th birthday this bass was made in '74, and is aging gracefully! Crafted from maple, it has the classic D neck profile (.88-.90") and 10" radius with a 1.7 nut width and Bubinga rosewood fretboard. With some wear above the pickguard (see pictured), history of a refret and stock tuners replaced this bass looks and plays like a dream.
The dual stock pickups sound as punchy and growly as ever. The traditional controls of Vol-Vol-Tone-Tone with a 3-way switch let you dial in all the tones this legendary bass is capable of. From Ace of Spades to Mrs Vanderbilt, there's not a bad tone to be found here.
The pro techs here at EMS have given this bass a full setup so that it arrives to you ready for stage or studio. It will ship out the next day, swiftly and safely in the included hardshell case.
