Originally produced in the USA from 1978 to 1980, this particular Ross Distortion was made in Taiwan in the 1980s and produces a moderately rough yet sustained distortion sound, similar to the MXR Distortion+ and DOD 250 of the same era. The glossy sustain is superb and cleans up extra nicely with your guitar's volume knob. This distortion is ideal for recreating the hard rock guitar sound of the late 1970s and 1980s.Â
