Another knockout build from the wizard behind Scale Model Guitars, Dave Johnson. We love Dave. We love his guitars. This MK is no exception to that.
Upon first glance you're met with the theme of this guitar, Indian Rosewood. Adorning both the top of the body and the fret board, it makes for an immediate eye catching look. Under the rosewood top, the guitar features a chambered maple body and maple neck, keeping the guitar to a feather weight 7lbs 8oz. Alas, you'd never know upon looking over the guitar. Hiding the man behind the curtain is a slick satin black finish, giving players an ultra smooth playing experience.
Adding to the smooth playing experience are the precise measurements used to make one of the best feeling necks we've ever played here at the shop. Measuring .850" thick at the 1st fret and .900" at the 12th with a shred ready 12" radius and 1 5/8" nut width. Complete with his signature split diamond inlays, this guitar is both function and form. Thang's hot!
Speaking of being shred ready, this guitar is packing two bareknuckle warpigs. Ultra hot, searing humbuckers ready for ripping solos and heavy riffage. Each with individual volume and tone pots for total control. As a cherry on top, this guitar is fitted with the Kluson ABR-1 bridge and stoptail for hardware. This may just be the last guitar you ever need.
Convince you yet? If we have, go on ahead and scoop up this sweet guitar and we'll ship it out fast and ultra safe in its mono gig bag. Give us a call at the shop with any questions you may have!
