The pedals Tate produces have garnered a bit of a cult following, and due to their extremely limited small-batch nature (not to mention import fees from Japan), have become increasingly valuable. Notably, most people seem to gravitate towards September Sound's Big Muff-style circuits.
One of the things that sets September Sound's fuzzes apart is their astounding amount of features and tweakability. Instead of the usual Muff controls with just Volume, Tone, and Sustain, Tate's builds have a plethora of external toggle switches and internal dip switches for a nearly endless amount of clipping styles and transistor selections. This ain't your granddad's Big Muff!
