The Sequential Circuits Pro-One is a classic 1981 analog monophonic synthesizer designed as a portable, single-voice equivalent of the legendary Prophet-5 polyphonic synth. But don't let that brevity fool you, this analog synth has depth!
The Pro-One, powered by Curtis custom IC chips, boasts a number of notable features, including:
- Two Voltage-Controlled Oscillators (VCOs) featuring sawtooth, pulse/square, and triangle waveforms, plus oscillator sync and a white noise generator.
- A punchy 24dB/octave resonant low-pass filter (using the CEM3320 chip) capable of self-oscillation, paired with two separate four-stage ADSR envelope generators for the filter and VCA.
- A flexible modulation routing matrix allowing assignment of the LFO, Oscillator B, and filter envelope to oscillator pitch, pulse width, and filter cutoff.
- 3-octave (37-note) keyboard, pitch and modulation wheels, auto-glide (portamento), an arpeggiator, and a simple 40-note step sequencer.
- CV/Gate inputs and outputs, filter CV input, and audio input on the rear panel
The Sequential Circuits Prophet Pro-One has been used many artists including Depeche Mode, New Order, Yazoo, and The Prodigy; a real murder's row of analog synth giants who knew how to employ the not-so-subtle punching basslines and intense leads that are a hallmark of this celebrated instrument!
This vintage synth has been fully serviced and viven a clean bill of health by our excellent EMS techs ensuring this piece of history is ready for whatever you throw at it! Repairs include: calibration, cleaning all pots, switches and keys. replaced grommets on all keys and replaced all electrolytic capacitors.
