If you aren't familiar yet, let us first get you acquainted with Serek as a company. Based in Chicago with a motto of building quality instruments that boast "vintage nostalgia" with modern amenities and design, you already know they're cooking up good stuff. All you really need is one look at this bass to see the proof is in the puddin'! Not to mention they currently have a 9-12 month lead time if you wanna get one direct from Serek.
Their new "Midwestern 2" model takes a more modern approach than its sibling, the original Midwestern bass. Updates include a sleek new design with body contours and a lower cutaway for full access to 21 frets. The Midwestern 2 is made up of a lightweight Mahogany body and the same Mahogany set neck found on the Midwestern.
The neck has a thickness measuring 0.875" at the 1st fret and 0.975" at the 12th, and is complemented with a rosewood fretboard with a 9.5"-12" compound radius and a 1 5/8 nut width. It comes loaded up with a super hot Curtis Novak BS-DS pickup in the neck with an output rating of 11.71k, and the stock dogear P-90 middle pickup with an output rating of 7.18k.
This killer shortscale bass is VERY lightly used, and it feels pretty damn amazing if you ask us. Our expert luthiers have given it a fresh setup, and ensured that it will play spectacularly with low easy action, level frets, and spot-on intonation.
We'll ship this bass to you super fast and super safe in its included original Serek padded gig bag. Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about it!
