Guitarists have been hunting that perfect delay sound for decades. Who doesn't want to hear what they just played repeated back to them? You already sound so good, why not hear it again? Over the years the delay effect has seen many revisions in both execution and format. Tape, analog, digital, rack, pedals, etc...
In the 70's and 80's, many brands began using bucket brigade chips to get those gooey delay repeats that had only previously been able to be achieved using tape machines. And while many guitarists immediately picture the stompbox effects pedal format when you say "analog delay", many of them came in these little lunchbox half-rack enclosures.
The WEM-270 is a Korean model of analog delay unit that was produced under several different brand names, such as Conrad, JSH, and - like this one - Super Sound, much like the Japanese lawsuit-era guitars that were all manufactured at the same factory under various brand names like Greco, Aria, Ibanez, Burny, etc.
This little effects box is perfect for adding just a little bit of atmosphere to your playing. The repeats never fully take over the mix, they just sit there in the background and fill in all the gaps while staying out of your way. This echo unit also can get some sweet solid-state overdriven tones out of the preamp chip when you crank that input volume, depending on which input jack you're running into.
It shows some obvious signs of use, which is to be expected considering its age, but we've tested it thoroughly, cleaned out all the pots and jacks, and ensured that it is in excellent working condition! We'll ship this little guy to you super fast and super safe. Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about it!
