The SIX ZERO was designed to look back to the 1960s and forward to the 2024s and imagine what a new pedal could look and sound like now whilst operating with a fundamentally vintage sound at its core.  To capture this decade spanning sound the masterminds at Thorpy chose to recreate the sounds of the venerable MKI TB. As fuzz enthusiasts will know, the MKI Tonebender was designed with germanium transistors, and it sounded incredible. But germanium was replaced for a reason (not thermally stable, finicky, inconsistent) so they decided to make the fuzz side silicon, but tuned it to sound and respond as if it were germanium. They then coupled this incredible fuzz with a modified version of the discrete tremolo circuit designed by Dan Coggins way back when he first started designed guitar effect circuits.

With controls for Depth, Rate, Attack and Level this purely analog pedal keeps it functionally simple whilst being deceptively feature packed. This pedal allows you to deliver an almost unlimited tonal pallet no matter what your mood/style or guitar and amp setup.

DEPTH: This control allows you to mix how much tremolo you want in with your dry signal.

RATE: This controls the rate of the tremolo, from super slow to super-fast. If turning when playing, the effect will “duck” out of the way before returning at the new speed.

ATTACK: This control isn’t necessarily a typical gain control, there is a sweet spot on the attack where the fuzz sounds the richest, with the right amount of sustain, clarity, and harmonic content without becoming overly harsh or too smooth. Outside of the sweet spot you can find many textures and different character from gated and spitty to smooth and liquid.

LEVEL: This control dictates how loud the fuzz is, we have put plenty of volume into the pedal, please be aware that too much level can overwhelm the tremolo. Use with care!!
