Ahh, the lawsuit era. There were some really sweet knockoff instruments coming out of the Japanese factories during the 70's and 80's whose quality rivaled their name-brand counterparts.

This sweet ode to the 50's Precision bass hails from the mid-80's, and it is a true gem. The maple neck has a comfortable D-profile measuring 0.900" at the 1st fret and 1.00" at the 12th, complemented by a 7.25" fretboard radius and a nut width of 1 5/8".

It's seen plenty of use in its four decade career, and it's got a handful of battle scars. You can see the playwear throughout in the photos, but all of these are purely cosmetic and do not affect the playability at all.

Like all instruments at EMS, this sweet 80's bass has received a full fret level and setup from our expert luthiers to ensure that it arrives in your hands playing better than ever before, with easy action, level frets, precise intonation, and zero dead notes or fret buzz.

We'll ship it super fast and super safe in its included gig bag! Feel free to give us a call with any questions you may have about it!
