A stunning Wurly from the early 70's! This is one of the most iconic sounds in music, having been the star of countless recordings, and is still used and emulated frequently in today's music.
When most people think "Wurlitzer," the plastic-top, chrome-leg Wurlitzer 200 is probably the first image that comes to mind. First released in the late 1960s, the Wurlitzer 200-series is the final iteration of Wurlitzers. Their pared-down, slim body allows easy access to mechanical parts, and it contains a state-of-the-art (for the time) solid state amplifier. Vibrato now comes standard, the final puzzle piece to the iconic Wurlitzer sound.
This one has recently been fully restored and refurbished by John Eldridge here in Nashville. It has been rewired for hum cancellation, all action parts were removed and individually lubricated, it has been fully regulated, had the damper calibrated, all keys re-topped, the keybed has been leveled, a new lid with new faceplate installed, right side speaker replaced, and finally, tuned.
