The MPF-1 was introduced in late 1978 by Maestro (then owned by Norlin who also owned Gibson and Moog at the time). This circuit is a classic equalization effect with optional overdrive on tap, it yields up to 20db of boost and boasts a frequency response ranging from 30hz to 15khz (just about the full range of human hearing!).Â
