From Crotronics:

The Crotronics Peasants Overdrive (NES) is our love letter to the famous original version of the Nashville staple, the Nobels ODR-1. We have meticulously copied the entire audio path of the earliest version of the circuit and have used as many of the same components as possible as the original version of the pedal here and made the same way using through hole 1/4 watt Carbon Film resistors, ceramic capacitors, 100 Volt Metalized Mylar Polyester Film capacitors and Electrolytic Capacitors. We've painstakingly tracked down the original Korean made inline 9 PIN 4558S Op Amp, NOS 2SC2362 NPN Si transistor, NOS Philips BC264 Jfet (which ceased manufacturing in the late 90s), NOS K222E Jfet, K30A-Y Jfet. And while the last two Jfet types are mainly used for the original pedal's bypass circuit, because they're still part of the audio path when the circuit is engaged we've included them here for vintage accuracy. Because the original pedal's bypass mode has some disadvantages to the true bypass method used more commonly these days we have opted for that here despite recreating some of its circuitry where it could still affect the audio path when the pedal is engaged. All those nerdy details aside, the pedal sounds incredible for low to medium gain distortion sounds and can even be used as a wonderful clean boost as a great "test" for this style of pedal is to dial in your clean sound and test with the pedal on and bypassed. At the correct setting there shouldn't be any difference as this circuit was originally designed to be a natural sounding overdrive reminiscent of a cranked Black Panel Bassman going into a 2x12 cabinet (quite different to the honkiness of the other green overdrive box that was ubiquitous at the time of release).

This brand new pedal ships fast and free cuz that's how we be!
