How regal! The Prince of Tone, successor of the famed King of Tone, is fully loaded with three different modes to suit whatever style of gain you require. Overdrive, Boost, and Distortion. The overdrive offers a bit more gain than your average tubescreamer, which has the same circuit featured in the red side of the KOT. The boost setting is a nice stepping stone from clean boost to overdrive, adding a lovely sparkle to your tone. It's louder and less compressed than the OD setting and it's the same as the yellow side of the KOT. Lastly, the distortion is the higher gain setting, with the same volume on tap as the OD, but with more crunch and compression. Comparable to the King of Tone in many ways, the Prince of Tone is unique to itself and accomplishes a huge array of sounds. There are many options to further dial things in on the inside of the enclosure, but if you're seeking out this pedal, chances are you've already done your research, and you know how incredible this little dirt box is.
