The Epiphone Viola Bass puts the look, feel and tone of McCartney's iconic Hofner within reach! The warm, woody sound of the hollow body and mini-humbucker punch along with a comfortably short-scale neck make the Viola Bass a total joy to play!
Crafted from a maple laminate body with a playable "C" profile maple neck (.834"-.953"), it sports a 15" radius rosewood fingerboard. The nut measures in at 1.65".
Classic Hofner-style controls of Vol-Vol-Tone give you control over the full range of tones that can be coaxed out of this bass. It's loaded up with a pair of mini humbuckers (N: 5.3K, B: 5.34k) that have all of the punch and character of the Hofs!
The pro techs here at EMS have given this bass a full fret level and setup so that arrives to you with level frets and zero issues. It's gonna play like a dream right away.
