A glorious Melody Maker which has aged to a beautiful checked finish. This bird is chimey and resonant as all get out. And light to boot (5.82 lbs)!
Crafted completely from mahogany, the neck has been shaved and refinished and feels very thin, but comfy, in the hands (.716"-.857"). It sports a 10" radius rosewood fingerboard. The nut measures in at 1.67". Whew! That got nerdy. Let's keep rollin', shall we?
The original single coil pickup has been removed and it has been routed for a humbucker. The humbucker is a T Top (7.44k) that has a nice clear tone but it'll get mean if you wanna throw some dirt at it. Just perfectly classic!
The original tuners and bridge have been swapped out (but as you see from the pics, the originals are included!).
This classic tone machine has been made into a modern, gig ready player! Tons of mojo, tons of vibe and tons of tone. Lots of changes have gone into this guitar, but it all was done with love. The top shelf luthiers here at EMS have given this sweet guitar a full setup and fretwork to ensure that it lands in your hands with level frets and zero issues!
The included chipboard case is likely original. It's a little worse for wear, but nevertheless, the guitar and case will be packed securely and shipped safely, fully insured!
