The great SG! It has come in many looks, configurations, and styles. But always transcendent. This unique re-finished SG hails from '72 and it's ready to bring some rock into your life.
Crafted, as always, from toneful mahogany, it has a light weight of 7 lbs! It was refinished in the current finish at some point in its long illustrious life. It sports a mahogany C profile neck (.797"-.975") with a 10" radius rosewood fretboard. The nut measures in at 1.58". The neck on this rock machine feels great! Thin but still comfortable in the hand.
The original humbuckers have been upgraded to this dynamic duo: the neck position being a Bill Lawrence Twin Blade humbucker (14.6k) with a powerful output; the bridge is a 1979 DiMarzio X2N Power Plus (7.55k).
In addition to the replaced pickguard and refin, this guitar has also been given a 2-way phase toggle switch to add extra tonality to this already versatile instrument.
This vintage beauty has been modified and given a look and functionality like no other! It has age and playwear typical for a guitar of this age that has been played and loved. The pro techs here at EMS have given it a full setup and went through all the electronics to insure that it arrives to you ready for stage or studio.
