One of our favorite SG iterations here at EMS. The SGJ offers all the ingredients that made the most desirable SG's legendary—mahogany body and neck construction, 50s Slim neck profile, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, two genuine '61 style humbucking pickups—all wrapped up in a stripped-down, no-nonsense package that makes this guitar a flat-out rippin' player.
Decked out in a badass Fireburst satin finish, this tone machine absolutely slays. The slim neck sports a C profile (.856"-.965") with a the traditional 12" radius rosewood board where you lay down your licks (nut: 1.688"). The 12th fret features Gibson's 120th Anniversary inlay
And lets talk about pickups, shall we? These 61 style 'buckers pack in all the mojo, tone, and response of the classic early 60s SG's (N: 7.54k, B: 7.52k). Full spectrum classic rock tone that cleans up like a champ when you roll your volume off.
This used beauty looks stunning despite having some minor playwear. There are a few mild dings on the back and around some of the edges of the body. Light buckle rash can be seen in the right light. Light surface scratches and playwear can be seen on the top. None of this detracts from how sweet this guitar looks and plays. It weighs in at a comfortable 6.8 lbs.
The badass luthiers here at EMS have given her a full setup and insured that it ships to you with level frets and zero issues. It'll ship the next day in the included Gibson gig bag.
