We are absolutely over the moon about this Rocket! Hailing from the '60's this red burst tone beast has undergone a metamorphosis. Is that how you spell that?
The H53 was originally manufactured as a single pickup with Volume and Tone. One and done. But this H53 has been given the royal treatment.
First and foremost, it's been modified to be a two pickup guitar. Originally it had the neck pickup; this one is bringing a bridge pickup as well. The pickups are a pair of Lowrider Vintage Goldfoil pickups (N: 5.5k, B: 5.7k) sitting on custom made walnut blocks to serve as pickup risers.
As a result of the added pickup, the two knob controls have been converted to a master volume and master tone. On the lower bout a three way pickup selector has been installed so you can get at your tones, bruh!
This guitar has been crafted from ash with an amazingly comfy and playable maple neck with a C profile (.7855"-.878"). The fingerboard sports a 9.5" radius. The nut measures in at 1.65"
The pro techs here at EMS have given this baby a full refret so they are fresh and ready! It's been fully setup and it's ready for stage or studio. You won't find another H53 that's been blinged out quite like this one!
It ships swiftly and safely in the included gig bag (it's a little oversized for this guitar but does the trick!).
